Cambridge University Press
Program closed until a new contract is signed.
Magazines covered by the program?
The list includes 411 titles of journals in which KUE researchers can publish without limit of articles submitted by the institution.
How to use the program?
When an article is accepted for publication, the author receives an email with a message that the institution can potentially cover the APC, but the author has to check for himself on the publisher’s Read and publish agreements page to see if this is the case. When an article is submitted to a journal, there is no automatic information about the possibility of OA deposit. The program allows publication without fees for authors of articles accepted for publication in the current year. The exception is for journals that are in Ironclad (a new system for contracts), which informs the author that the institution covers the APC costs.
After reviewing and accepting the article, the author receives an email with a link to the site of the journal in question, where there are the forms necessary for the preparation of the license agreement, in the next steps you need:
- when publishing in a hybrid journal, make sure that the “Gold Open Access” option is selected
- select one of the two forms in the “Open Access Articles” section:
- the copyright owner is the author(s) of the publication: – the owner is the employer – select the version of the Creative Commons license. The choice of license is very important for articles that are to be the basis of grant settlement, e.g. NCN recommends CC BY license.
